Over 30 years ago, Rick Wamre thought that Lakeweood needed a neighborhood newspaper, a newsprint that covered everything from summer basbball games to property taxes. He started the publication, along with Jeff Seigal and and Tom Zelenski, in the guest bedroom of his Gaston home. SInce then we’ve expanded to five publication covering Lakewood/East Dallas., Oak Cliff, Preston Hollow, Lake Highlands and Plano.

Our mission is the same: free, hyperlocal news.

Our hope when a neighbor reads our publications is that they’ve learned something about their neighborhood, their neighbors and themselves.
